In Phase 1 - REVEAL of SFS, you will level up your skills and learn special methods to reveal client design goals, site details, and design for value.
For this course, we have broken out Phase 1 of the Square Foot Superhero course. In this phase, we are focusing on REVEALING your client's design goals and budget, as well as property details.
Square Foot Superhero follows the "SMARTER" Home Design™ method, and Phase 1 includes:
Module 1 - "S": Story & Sketches
In this module, we'll cover how to get to know the property and take the environment into consideration. We'll also discuss how to help your client discover and pin down their design goals, and collaborate well with other industry professionals.
Module 2 - "M": Money & Measurements
In this module, we’ll be looking at how measurements can tie into some basic “value-engineering” concepts. We'll cover how to lay out the design using easy and clear dimensions right from the start. We’ll also discuss the factors that contribute to cost/square foot, and how we can guide the design to help the homeowners get the most bang for their buck.
